People in Need (PIN) aims to increase the Czech public’s knowledge of poverty, development cooperation, migration, human rights, reduction of national prejudices and xenophobia. To accomplish this task, PIN established its informative and educational programs.
PIN’s educational programs are centered on students and teachers in primary and high schools, but also on other professional groups such as policemen or employees of labor offices. Issues such as poverty, globalization, migration or multiculturalism are discussed with these groups through short and long-term seminars and through the preparation and distribution of other teaching material including handbooks and sets of documentaries.
